Good bye 2014 and Hello 2015

We had many changes in 2014 such as starting this blog to share the string art on cards craft. Now, I can share any new changes with everyone.  Plus gain more insight on what you would like me to change.  Just let me know. If you don’t want to blog, you can email me at cards@withthread.com. I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

I learned this year that our customers would like one book that tells all the ins and outs of how to, for string art on cards. And then be able to purchase the patterns they want separately. I'm in the process of doing that right now.

With this new book I would no longer make the 4 booklets, Holidays, Christmas, Shapes and Gift-tags. All the instruction will be in my new booklet (still working on a name for that book) and all the patterns would be sold separately. We will also make the new booklet and patterns downloadable.

Have a very Merry Christmas! May next year be a great adventure with threads.
Sincerely
Judy

Burley Bazaar

Thank you everyone who came to the Burley Bazaar yesterday (Dec 6). I had such a blast sharing my craft and seeing all the other crafter's and their talents. I sure hope they do this again next year.

Even though this is our last show for the year, the string art doesn't stop. My mind is creating new and different ideas as I type. I'll keep you posted.

Hello Everyone

As promised our blog is here. Our goal is to share the knowledge of string art.

Who invented string art? Several people contributed to this popular -70s craft, but it really has its roots in mathematics. The concept was first introduced as a way to illustrate complex math concepts, but the serious nature of early string art gave way to the imaginative and creative interpretation of unnamed artists who devised the endless designs and patterns that give the craft its unique look.

I have booklets and kits that show you how to make your own string art on cards, boxes etc. You can go to www.withtread.com for more information.

Our last show this year will be the Burley Bazaar on December 6th. Please go to http://www.burleybazaar.org for more information on time and location.

Hope to see you there!

Judy
